“Steely Dan: That’s my shit. My dad is a huge music thusiast and loves everything, but that’s something that always stuck with me., On Sundays, we would do yard work or he’d be out listening to it and we’d barbecue or whatever. It always reminds me of a time no so long ago when things seemed simpler. It’s the perfect music for an occasion. It can be played in any atmosphere and it’s appropriate at any time. My favorite song is Babylon Sisters. Any time I hear that song, it can throw me into a ton of different moods. I’m ready to really rage or I’m really hungover or else I’m making food.”—
HEY, im sinnersnever-riot this is my rpg, and i cant use ask on my phone except this account, but with that post about tays dad - im not trying to be rude but im just curious; do you know what happened?
I think he died several years ago from what I could piece together off the Internet. There doesn’t seem to be much info on it.
Being wise sorcerers, @tragically_hip and I both figured this out on our own. But for those of you who didn’t get highest marks in Transfiguration class, here is how it is done.
Step 1: Create a comment. This will be in plain text and is just to get you started.
Step 2: Click on ‘edit’ once the comment posts.
Next, you’ll get a new page with an editing window, as shown in the next step.
Step 3: Chose filtered HTML.
Step 4: Prepare to paste. Just position your text cursor where you want the image to be pasted.
Step 5: Find and copy a nice image. The way it works is that you need to find an image on the Internet somewhere. This can be an image on some site, or one of your own that you’ve uploaded to a site such as Flickr or Photobucket.
Copy the image (not the URL) using the normal ‘copy image’ mechanism in your browser.
Step 6: Paste the image into the editing window. Yes, you just paste the image — not the URL. And you don’t have to deal with HTML or an <IMG> tag. Yay.
Step 7: Enjoy the image, which is now part of your comment.
Step 8: Add any extra stuff, and ‘Post Comment’. You can paste in multiple images, type more text, or even add videos (next section). Save your changes via ‘Post Comment’.
Step 9: Admire your handiwork. When the topic reloads, your comment will look something like this:
Advanced Potions: Adding A Video Its’ also possible to add video (and probably other things). The steps are a bit more complex but may be worth it.
Step 10: Find a video.
Step 11: Chose the correct ‘embed’ options. Select (1) ‘Embed’, and (2) Adjust the width to 324, then (3) make sure you check the ‘Use old embed code’ box and (4) select and copy the code.
Step 12: Set up the HTML. Paste the object code. I am old fashioned and use a simple plain text editor, but you could use an editor like Dreamweaver. Save the file with a ‘.html’ extension, so you can load it into your browser in the next step.
Step 13: Load the file into a browser. If you’ve added some text, it should look something like this:
Step 14: Highlight and copy.
Step 15: Paste into the comment window. Yep, no HTML needed here.
Step 16: Don’t worry. Don’t worry if you don’t see the actual video and instead see something like this. That’s normal.
Being a member of my band, lamb of god, has provided me with many different experiences. Some are incredibly exhilarating, such as watching one of my best friends jump out of an airplane right in front of me, then eight terrified seconds later following him into free fall high above the Nevada…
